I’ve always been fascinated with photography, and since I am interested in traveling, beauty, fashion and lifestyle, I need to have an array of cameras to capture each individual experience, category and thought. Below are some cameras I use to help capture this.
The GoPro Hero 3+
Is my ultimate travel camera. It shoots incredible wide angles which no other camera can accomplish. It captures scenery and the people within it the best. I recently bought a GoPro car attachment which I used on my road trip to Cape Town to video record our car trip. We also attached it to the roof of the car and took incredible photos along the the viewpoints stretched throughout the scenic routes. The GoPro is the ideal travel camera, whether using it to shoot sports, in the rain and underwater. It’s the most efficient and practical camera.
The Canon EOS 500D
Is great for portrait photography, close ups and recently iv’e been using it more often to shoot landscapes which you may have seen in my 48 Hours in Dullstroom post. It captures images with extreme clarity and is able to adjust to lighting conditions so you can get the best out of your photos.
Fujifilm instax mini 90 NEO CLASSIC
Is perfect for personal printables. When I went on a road trip to Cape Town, every day my boyfriend and I would take a polaroid in each town we stopped at. The Fujifilm polaroid has multiple modes to shoot in, has a self timer and a flash which is great for daytime, sunset and nighttime photography because a polaroid allows for the image to be raw and captured in the moment as opposed to the lighting having to be edited.
The Canon PowerShot A2300 HD
An on-the-go compact camera which can slip into your cross body bag for those on the go days.
Has to be my go to camera. On my iPhone I have all my editing apps at hand, so taking photos directly on my iPhone is much more convenient. The iPhone 7 still takes great photos in comparison to my other cameras mentioned, however each camera I mentioned serves it’s own purpose. The iPhone 7 camera may not be able to achieve the same results that the GoPro, Polaroid camera or Cannon EOS 500D would.
The Selfie Stick
The famous selfie stick, an oldie but still a goodie. It is usually only compatible for cellphones, only compatible for phones, yet my GoPro can attach to it too (although I wouldn’t quite use the GoPro on the selfie stick in situations where it could fall out). I use the GoPro on the selfie stick as a sort of ‘tripod’ and wedge in between pebbles and sand.
